MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO HOW LOCAL COMPANIES DO BUSINESS IN AFRICA

TAKING THE BULL BY THE HORNS

In 2000, the DTI sought to take a more active role in the development of the ICT and Electronics sector, through the establishment of the ICT Development Council that was created to represent all sectors of the industry – from multinational corporations down to the small and medium local organisations. Through its marketing and awareness programme known as SAVANT (South African Vanguard of Technology) it aims to establish awareness for this sector by showcasing the country’s competitive advantages, capabilities and successes to audiences on a domestic and international scale.
