When Steve Jobs slid Apple’s MacBook Air from out of a manila envelope at the most recent MacWorld conference, even the biggest sceptics had to concede that it at least looked stunning. Built for ultra-mobility, it’s all about wireless and weightless – there’s no point in comparing it to its bigger siblings, that misses the point, it’s a bit like complaining that a Ferrari can’t drive on a 4x4 track.
