The true, fresh-faced nature of the mobile revolution was boldly on display early in June this year when BlackBerry launched its third App Lab in SA. Located at the JoziHub on the outskirts of the Johannesburg CBD, it’s a little surprising that the country’s largest city is playing third fiddle to Pretoria and Cape Town, although it’s a strong endorsement of the catalytic role being played by the JoziHub.

The impact that initiatives such as this will have on the local development scene was embodied in five Pretoria teenagers who have not only grasped the opportunity provided by technology, but have run with it hard and fast.
