With AI now being widely used in cyber attacks, what’s a business to do?

AI will almost certainly increase the volume and impact of cyber attacks. Many cybercriminals are using AI to varying degrees, says a report from the National Cyber Security Centre in the UK. The report, from 2024, says AI will also increase reconnaissance and social engineering capabilities, making them more effective and harder to detect. The technology also lowers the barriers for novice cybercriminals, which it says will contribute to increased incidents of ransomware over the next two years.
