It’s easy for critics to exploit the silence, taking aim with halfcooked rebuttals and flawed retorts. So let’s shoot.

Tony Holiday was one of the founding editors of Mind Shift. After serving on the Rand Daily Mail and Pretoria Central, he went on to complete a PhD at Oxford. Shortly after the publication of the last issue, he succumbed to cancer, leaving behind his mother and siblings, a clutch of friends, and some pressing puzzles.
