In a possibly tragic confluence of events, Electric Vehicles (EVs) have been reinvented at a time when the world cannot afford the funding required to mass-produce them.

While all new technology-driven products begin their lifecycles as very expensive products, adding a few grand to the price of a vehicle in these recessionary times is a deal-breaker. It may be game over for this fledging industry unless governments intervene on a global scale to subsidise EVs.
