With a change in leadership for the ruling African National Congress (ANC) could come a shift in emphasis as far as ICT issues are concerned – and this has the potential to not be one for the better.
This is the view of various political and market commentators who were reacting to the election of Jacob Zuma as leader of the ANC in December 2007. While Zuma has been guarded in his policy statements subsequent to the ANC's general conference in Polokwane, analysts say they fear ICT issues could be placed on the backburner under his leadership.
