It put its hands up but I shot it anyway

Gillian Naylor’s contribution to the Daffodils exhibition due in South Africa next year suggests a profound commentary on modern man’s relationship with the environment. However the story behind the spontaneous work built up of textured layers of ink, acrylics and oils, has nothing worthy about it.
Naylor, who grew up in Cumbria in the United Kingdom, was mad at her dad. She had asked him if he thought she was a good shot, to which he replied, “you will be a good shot, lass, when you can shoot the heads off flowers.” “I will leave out the details,” said Naylor, “but revenge was called for and no daffodil was safe.”
