Literature and video games are so different, yet intrinsically connected because they both tell stories. They’re not often spoken about in the same sentence, but the two mediums frequently overlap in ways that many don’t expect.

There are, of course, some popular games based on well-known fiction novels. The Witcher is an adaptation of Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski’s six volume series of books. The sheer number of games with Tom Clancy’s name attached to the title, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, The Division, H.A.W.X, to name a few, is exhaustive.
