With the onset of Covid- 19 and the resultant lockdowns, many companies downsized their workforces, for various reasons. As the pandemic looks to be abating, the stressed job market is also starting to show some green shoots, especially in the world of IT.

Paul Byrne, head of Insights at Saongroup Africa, which owns job portals CareerJunction and Pnet, says there’s been a continued increase in recruitment activity over the last 13 months.
