The thing about change is that it’s incremental, and sometimes so slow that you don’t notice it happening. We’ve been plugging away at AI for decades, and finally storage and compute caught up at the end of 2022, resulting in a rash of GenAI products, led by ChatGPT. In much the same way, autonomous cars, satellite internet, and drone deliveries came on stream in 2023.
