Digital is a warzone. The recent Bateleur Brand Planning’s Vantage Point survey focused on South African perceptions of cybersecurity and found that executive boards are recognising the urgency of the situation, pushing cybersecurity up the agenda and influencing budgets to ensure their organisations are protected. The survey also found that CISOs and CIOs are playing an increasingly pivotal role in guiding companies through the cybersecurity warzone.

“Most companies, and not just the larger organisations, are seeing cybersecurity as a significant threat that requires dedicated resources and people,” says Shahiem Patel, head of school for management and commerce, Regent Business School.
