Perhaps you read about the hacked Tesla a few weeks back: the French team that cracked it (as part of a hacking contest) got in in under two minutes, earning themselves cash and a Model 3 for their efforts.
Or maybe you heard about Twitter’s leaked source code? In late March, we learned that a chunk of its source code was lurking in a GitHub repository – possibly for months. The proprietary info was yanked swiftly following a legal request from Twitter itself. As an aside, a week later, Twitter itself was releasing code on GitHub, with promises of more to come. But transparency is always a better look than leaky, I guess.
