I am a new media artist. In 2019, I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhodes University in Makhanda. My work explores themes of memory, identity, and the self, as well as the impact of digital advances on these concepts in our interpersonal lives, often through a humorous lens. My practice incorporates sound, photography, video, and installation. My work is deeply influenced by my lived experience as a mixed-race person raised in post-apartheid South Africa and by my genuine interest in new media. Photography works alongside my other artistic mediums, with a strong focus on landscapes and portraiture to create imaginative worlds through performance while interrogating socio-political issues and online culture.
