I hail from a small village called Jane Furse in the heart of Ga- Sekhukhune, Limpopo. I am a self-taught photographer who is on a journey of documenting indigenous tribes of the world, with my main focus being the Bapedi tribe. I grew up in a community where only men were professional photographers. That’s why the title “cameraman" was used so much because the industry was dominated by men, but my curiosity grew. I wanted to be that woman who would break the mould and make photography my profession. I have always wanted to be a storyteller and photography gave me the opportunity to tell African stories through capturing beautiful moments. I want my photos to evoke emotions in my audience; I’m passionate about telling beautiful stories about our diverse cultures.
