Jessica Masego Nkuna
I am a visual artist, photographer, filmmaker, and curator. My artistic practice began through the Anglo American Mine School Programme and developed further during my studies in Television Production at Boston Media House. Working across photography and film, I explore lived experience and collective memory through community-rooted storytelling. I have been actively involved with the Film & Vinyl Club at Transwerke Studios, contributing to collaborative film productions while curating exhibitions and film screenings. I am currently completing my studies at the Market Photo Workshop and participated in the Self-Portraiture Programme. The programme culminated in a group exhibition at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2026. Central to my practice is the creation of safe and inclusive spaces where stories can be shared, preserved, and sustained within communities.
