My passion for photography began in 2016, while studying marketing management at Ekurhuleni East College. In 2017, I worked as a caregiver at Inkazimulo Yokulunga and volunteered as a facilitator at Ubuntu Gender-Based Violence Abuse Centre (UGBVAC). In 2019, I joined the Market Photo Workshop for the foundation phase in photography, continued with the intermediate course in 2020, and I completed the photojournalism documentary photography programme in 2023. I interned as a photojournalist at The Citizen, where my passion for photojournalism and documentary photography intensified. My photographic style is simple and honest, with a strong focus on spaces and everyday realities. I use photography as a form of escape and a way to tell stories that I hope will inspire emerging photographers in my community.
