Five years ago, the cloud model was a settled one. Many businesses were using it, and many were reaping the benefits. Back then, the biggest conversations seemed to be about cloud bills, and how to keep control over them. But all that changed with AI. Nowadays, companies are pouring huge amounts of capital into datacentre builds and cloud has now become the foundation upon which AI is being built.
