South Africa’s retail trade has experienced a generally positive outlook in 2025 due to easing inflation, improved infrastructure, and a slight rebound in consumer spend. According to the Bureau of Market Research, retailers that invest in digital initiatives and make use of analytics and omnichannel strategies will be best placed to reap rewards.
