We don’t need another hero
What if I don’t want to save the world?

Games don’t need a good story to be great. If you’re playing for the story, you might just be playing it wrong. Yes, there are phenomenal, narrative-driven RPGs out there with rich storytelling and complex character development, but sometimes it’s nice not to have that constant pressure of being a hero. If this sounds counterintuitive, then this is exactly what makes Crimson Desert such a cathartic game.
Kliff, the game’s protagonist, might be a fierce warrior and the leader of a mercenary group, but he’s also not tied down to a single cause, and that gives you the chance to really experience the world of Pywel.
