Figma was launched 10 years ago by Dylan Field and Evan Wallace after meeting as computer science students at Brown University. Their goal was to provide design teams and companies with a collaborative space in which to cooperatively manage design projects like websites, UX, wireframing, whiteboards, product development and brainstorming. Available online and on mobile devices, Figma has seen impressive growth over the last decade, tripling its stock price when it launched on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2025. I spoke to Cairin Michie, co-founder, Fynbos Money, a savings and investment app, and Minki McDonald, UX architect, at fintech Bridgement, to gauge their opinions about the tool.
