Organisations the world over have deployed workloads in the cloud, but many are not said to be achieving the efficiencies they hoped. Nevertheless, PwC’s ‘2025 Africa Cloud Business Survey’ found that 86% of companies in Africa say they’re at a medium to high cloud maturity level, but there are still persistent concerns about security, compliance, zero trust, and AI.

Anja Kruger, CEO, Praesignis, says its currently planning to move new instances into the cloud, but is wrestling with questions around security. “There’s a lot of highly sensitive information and security remains a significant challenge,” she says.
