When Fable was released in 2004, it was hailed as a masterpiece. Sure, there were open-world role-playing games out there, but here was a game where your choices actually mattered. It had a unique morality system where your decisions changed the world around you – your reputation, how the villagers would react, even how you looked. In 2026, this beloved franchise is finally getting a reboot. Fable will retain its charm, humour and whimsical world-building. It will once again take place in Albion, the game’s original location, only this time as a bigger, more beautifully rendered environment to explore. Good or evil, it’s up to you.
