Company executives are generally hesitant to invest in anything, unless it brings direct value into the business. So it is worth noting that more and more local companies are putting asset management strategies in place, as they start to view it as an increasingly essential area of their business, rather than just a corporate hassle. Admittedly there is still a long way to go, but strategies are being adopted, says Realyst MD Peter Trickey.
