Oh, the places you’ll go
SkyCards is the Pokémon Go of flying. But you’re not just catching planes, you're turning the entire world of air travel into a digital card game powered by live flight data.

There’s a living map in the sky that most people never think about. Every flight has a route, every aircraft a story, and FlightRadar24 found aw ay to turn it all into a mobile game called SkyCards. The game places you where you are, so your location needs to be on. On the map, you’ll see little icons of planes and helicopters, among other airborne craft, flying around.
Because the game works in real-time, what is on the map corresponds to what is in the air. The aircraft are following the routes they actually take. The icons are different shapes and colours according to their make and rarity. To catch anything, you first need to have an airport open. Next, the aircraft must be within your radar. Tapping on an icon opens a video where whatever aircraft you’ve picked is flying by and you have to photograph it exactly in the centre of a square frame.
