In the CISO we trust

Of all the targets for cybercriminals, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services are the most tempting. In the case of banks, other than the fact that actual money can be stolen, there is a trove of valuable personal data. In a recent nightmarish incident, a threat actor going by the name of Rootboy penetrated Standard Bank and subsidiary Liberty systems and stole names, account and ID numbers, as well as a number of credit card details. The bank said on March 23 that some of this client data had been posted online.

Banks are also uniquely vulnerable to third-party risk, as well as having tens of thousands of staff members and endpoints. They will have their pick of the very best CISOs their money can hire. These people are the face of security to the CEO and the board, the CIO, and the bank at large, and will need deep and broad visibility into the entire estate.
