Driving down call costs
Successful and cost-effective voice over IP installations aren`t common. But a good example of this is platinum mining group Barplats Investments.

The voice over IP (VOIP) system at the Brits-based platinum mine has already recouped costs. Now, says Mike Kerem, who helped implement the solution, Barplats is in negotiations for a further three similar systems on other mines.
At the time of writing, the mining group was looking into a routing provider to cut down the costs of overseas calls, thus further exploiting the initial installation.
