Cisco has a very clear strategy to meet the demands of hybrid working, one that has been in place and anticipated for around 10 years, when the concept of SD-WAN was first being spoken about. At the time, analysts were saying SD-WAN would spell the end of Cisco, but in reality Cisco saw the change coming and transformed its business into a software-centric organisation and has become a leader in the software-defined space. Cisco understood that one of the biggest challenges for customers to overcome would be regarding security so over the past years Cisco has invested heavily in this space and is now one of the largest cybersecurity companies in the world by revenue. In addition SC Media has named Cisco the Best Security Company as part of its 2021 SC Awards.
