Physical AI is being sparsely deployed in South Africa, with some use cases in warehouses, farms and mines. The United States has more advanced deployments, with Amazon saying it’s deployed over a million robots at its warehouses. Then there are autonomous cars like Teslas, and the Waymo taxi service, which is now operating in 10 cities. But there is a South African company that has deployed its DragonFly edge AI vision platform in both SA and the US.
