Linux giant Red Hat on how it’s taking customers on the hybrid multicloud journey.

It’s been a little over three years since IBM acquired Red Hat, and with the rise of the hybrid multicloud model, it seems the pairing is now bearing fruit.

As Tom Rosamilia, SVP of software and chairperson of North America at IBM, puts it, they spent ‘$34 billion for the reason of acquiring (Red Hat’s) OpenShift’, and this had allowed them to rebase IBM’s ‘entire software portfolio on OpenShift and move it to a container model so it could run anywhere’.
