Konica Minolta South Africa, a division of Bidvest Office, presents the new bizhub 226, an A3 monochrome multifunctional peripheral (MFP) that copies in A4 at 22ppm. The device is suitable for minor to medium-sized teams and workgroups in organisations and its compact footprint makes it desirable to possess in any office.

The bizhub 226 supports teams with a flexible paper capacity that can be increased as required to a maximum of 1 350 sheets, avoiding loss of time due to frequent interruptions to restock paper. It is highly flexible, and different media can be placed in up to five different paper trays and sources. The device provides easy single-sided and duplex document printing as an optional feature.

The new compact printer provides colour scanning as standard. It sends scans to a variety of destinations such as e-mail, FTP and SMB and also offers TWAIN scanning, so full network integration is optionally available. With the standard scan to USB function, any last-minute document or presentation requirement can easily be met by scanning the information straight from the bizhub 226 to a USB Flash drive. For convenient copy and scan jobs, the bizhub 226 can also be equipped with an optional duplex document feeder. This scans originals at speeds of up to 46 ipm and processes double-sided documents automatically.

Thanks to its low total energy consumption and the integrated Simitri HD toner with bio-mass, the bizhub 226 meets the highest eco standards and is certified with the Blue Angel and Energy Star eco labels.
